Purchase PhotoArt images created by Lew Lause
Lew Lause has been doing location and studio photography for more than 25 years. He is located in Marion, and also has a studio in Columbus, and travels extensively – from boardrooms to assembly lines, operating suites to industrial sites. “If asked what my photography specialty is I would have to say I am a generalist. Time has not allowed me to rest in one specific area of photography, nor would I have wanted to.” On the art of photography, Lew proclaims he doesn’t take pictures, he makes them. “I want people to walk away with the feeling they have looked at something new and different. I sleep photography – I wake up with it – I’m constantly planning.” “Art is very important in society – art is history. We need the arts, whether it’s music or visual arts. Pottery is art; it’s in the shape, it’s our history. I draw a lot of inspiration from art galleries; just walking around in them. One of my favorite artists is El Greco, and I have always admired the classic works of Rembrandt.” As a resident and businessman in Marion, Lew Lause is a past board member of several community organizations, and has contributed his photography talents to help promote their fundraising efforts.
